Security Forces Ramp Up Efforts to Eradicate Terror Networks
Anantnag, Apr 26 (JKNS): Following the recent Pahalgam attack, Anantnag Police, alongside the Army, CRPF, and allied security units, have unleashed a sweeping crackdown across the district to neutralize terrorism and its underlying support systems.
According to a police statement shared with JKNS, security forces have conducted relentless raids at multiple sites throughout Anantnag. Continuous day-and-night searches are in progress, with approximately 175 individuals detained for interrogation to disrupt networks facilitating terrorist activities.
To bolster safety measures, new Mobile Vehicle Check Points (MVCPs) have been strategically deployed to track suspicious movements and safeguard the public, the statement noted.
The operation includes targeted Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs), ambushes, and heightened patrols, especially in dense forest regions, aimed at eliminating any terrorist presence and securing the area.
The police underscored their unwavering commitment to restoring peace and preventing disruptions to normal life in Anantnag, urging citizens to stay vigilant and report any unusual activities to the nearest police station.
