Srinagar, Feb 24: Two separate fire incidents in Kursoo Rajbagh and Rathpora Eidgah areas of Srinagar on Monday resulted in damage to nine residential houses, officials reported.
An official told DK that in Kursoo Rajbagh, six houses were affected, with four completely damaged and two partially impacted. Meanwhile, in Rathpora Eidgah, three residential houses suffered damage due to the fire.
Firefighters, assisted by police and locals, managed to contain the flames, preventing further destruction. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, though the cause of the fire remains unknown.
