Light rain and snowfall are expected in parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours, according to weather officials.
They noted that a weak western disturbance is likely to affect the region, bringing light precipitation to both the plains and higher altitudes. However, the weather is predicted to improve by tomorrow.
This winter, Kashmir has been experiencing unusual weather patterns, with temperatures in Srinagar showing a combined deviation of nearly 10 degrees from the norm over the past day, as per data from the meteorological department.
On Tuesday night, Srinagar recorded a low of 1.9 degrees Celsius, which was attributed to cloud cover.
