In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Srinagar Police has booked six notorious drug peddlers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.
Detained Individuals:
The following individuals have been booked and detained in district jails of Udhampur, Poonch, and Rajouri after obtaining formal detention orders from the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir:
1️⃣ Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh (Beigh Mohalla Allochibagh, A/P Sharja Bemina)
2️⃣ Abid Rasool Dar (Check Kalan Kanihama, B.K. Pora)
3️⃣ Raza Rauf Mirjan (Gulshan Abad, Hyderpora)
4️⃣ Azan Parviaz Glitsaaz (Kani Mohalla, Rainawari)
5️⃣ Javaid Ahmad Wani (Sonwar, A/P Gasoo)
6️⃣ Danish Ahmad Bhat (Panzinara)
Crackdown on Drug Peddling:
🚨 These individuals were involved in widespread narcotics trafficking in Srinagar, targeting youth and operating illegal drug networks.
🚨 Several NDPS Act cases had already been registered against them across multiple police stations.
🚨 Despite securing bail in previous cases, they continued their illegal activities and expanded their drug operations.
🚨 Police have initiated the process of attaching their properties under the PIT-NDPS Act.
