The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved a one-year extension for three IAS officers serving in Jammu and Kashmir.

Officers Granted Extension:

  1. Akshay Labroo
  2. Athar Aamir
  3. Basharat Qayoom

The Jammu and Kashmir UT Government had requested an extension of their tenure, which has now been granted in relaxation of existing rules, according to official sources.

The DoPT, which functions under Union MoS in PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh, issued the approval, ensuring that these officers continue their administrative roles in the Union Territory for another year.
