UGC NET Admit Card 2024: The UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is a prestigious national-level examination in India, determining eligibility for Assistant Professorships and Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) in universities and colleges. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam occurs twice a year, with the upcoming June 2024 edition scheduled from August 21 to September 4, 2024.

UGC NET Admit Card 2024 and Exam Schedule

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 exam that is scheduled to be held on August 26. It will now be held a day later on August 27 on account of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The remaining exam dates remain unchanged and will be conducted as per schedule between August 21 and September 4.

“On account of Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 26th August 2024, National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to reschedule the Examination of 26th August 2024,” reads the official notice issued by NTA. Candidates may view the revised schedule on the UGC NET official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The exam authority will release the UGC NET 2024 admit card soon. According to previous trends the UGC NET admit card will be released 15 days before the scheduled exam date. The exam city slips have already been released by the agency. The exam will be held in two shifts — from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM.

UGC NET Admit Card 2024 Subject-wise Exam Schedule and City Intimation Slips

The NTA has also released the subject-wise examination schedule for the June edition. Candidates can check the examination city starting August 12, 2024, ten days before the exam begins. This information will help candidates make necessary travel arrangements ahead of time.

UGC NET June 2024 Exam Pattern

The UGC NET exam comprises two papers:

  1. Paper I is designed to evaluate teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with a total of 100 marks.
  2. Paper II focuses on the candidate’s chosen subject and assesses in-depth domain knowledge. It consists of 100 MCQs, with a total of 200 marks.

Both papers will be conducted in a single session, with a total duration of three hours.

How to Download the UGC NET Admit Card 2024

Candidates can download their admit cards by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
  2. Find the “Admit Card” section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link for the UGC NET Admit Card.
  4. Enter your login credentials, such as registration number and date of birth.
  5. Click on the “Login” button to view your admit card on the screen.
  6. Carefully check all the details on the admit card and print it out.

Remember to bring the admit card to the examination hall, as it is a mandatory document for entry.
